Is the VIN check really free?

Yes. Checking whether we have history data for your VIN is completely free and requires no account. You only pay when you unlock a full report.

What does a full report include?

Accident and damage history, title brands (salvage, flood, lemon, junk), odometer readings and rollback checks, ownership history, open safety recalls, service records, and a History Score — all compiled from multiple national databases into one report.

What if there is no data for my VIN?

If we cannot return any history for a VIN, your credit is automatically refunded. You are never charged for an empty report.

Where does your data come from?

Reports are compiled from insurance, salvage, title, auction, service, and motor-vehicle records across multiple national databases, then de-duplicated into a single report — so you see records that any one source alone might miss.

How fast is a report?

Reports are generated within moments of ordering. You can watch the status update live and read the full report as soon as it is ready.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits stay in your account until you use them, and one credit unlocks one full report.
